Douglas W. DensmoreDouglas W. Densmore, Chair

Mr. Densmore is an attorney at LeClairRyan in its Roanoke, Virginia office. His law practice focuses on corporate law, securities and corporate finance law (including board compliance matters), commercial law and mergers and acquisitions. He counsels a large variety of businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, public companies and financial interests. He is a member of both Virginia and Ohio bars and was appointed in 2005 to the Treasury Board for the Commonwealth of Virginia by Governor Mark R. Warner and reappointed to that Board by Governor Tim Kaine. He is currently listed in The Best Lawyers in America, The Outstanding Lawyers in America and Who's Who in American Law.

Barry M. Kornblau, ChairBarry M. Kornblau, Vice Chair

Mr. Kornblau is Chairman & CEO of Summit Realty Group, Inc. He was formerly Senior Vice President for United Dominion Realty Trust and served on the Trust's Board of Directors. Mr. Kornblau graduated from Old Dominion University. Mr. Kornblau is a founder and director of Commerce Bank of Virginia and a former trustee of the Steward School.

Mr. Boyer is CEO for GlobalWatch Technologies. He also serves on the Board of Directors for BB&T Bank and was appointed by Governor Mark Warner to the Treasury Board of the Commonwealth of Virginia. His prior affiliations include Senior Advisor and Director of Global Development Alliance for US Agency for International Development, (USAID), executive business leader to Vice-President Al Gore's 1993 "Reinventing Government Summit" and as a contributor to The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He is also a recognized "Distinguished Alumnus" of Pennsylvania State University.

Mr. Cherry is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of C&F Financial Corp., the holding company for Citizens and Farmers Bank, based in West Point, VA. Mr. Cherry has been with C&F for 15 years. He is a CPA, and was previously with Price Waterhouse.



Kenneth N. DanielsKenneth N. Daniels

Dr. Kenneth N. Daniels is a Professor of Finance at Virginia Commonwealth University. Currently, he is Vice-chairman for the Richmond Retirement System and a bank director for Virginia Community Capital. Dr. Daniels also served on the Treasury Board for the Commonwealth of Virginia from 2002 to 2010 and is currently a board member of the Eastern Finance Association.


Charlie R. Henderson, Jr.Charlie R. Henderson Jr.

Mr. Henderson is the Hampton Roads Market President for Bank of America. In addition, he serves as the National Program Manager within Bank of America’s Charitable Foundation, where he leads the company’s community development philanthropic strategy. Mr. Henderson is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and Stonier Graduate School of Banking.


John C. Purnell, Jr.John C. Purnell, Jr.

Mr. Purnell served as Executive Director of Friends Association for Children in Richmond, Virginia from 1970 to 2010. He has been a recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Virginia Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and was recognized as Social Worker of the Year by the Central Virginia Chapter. Mr. Purnell is a member of Christian Children’s Fund Board of Directors and is a past chairman of the Sheltering Arms Hospital Board. He is a graduate of Hampton University and holds graduate degrees in social work and public administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also a recipient of the Leadership Metro Richmond Area award.


John SalopJohn P. Salop

Mr. Salop is a Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer with BB&T and has been with the bank since 1974. Mr. Salop graduated from the College of William & Mary and received a post graduate degree from the Banking School of the South at Louisiana State University.



Sara Redding WilsonSara Redding Wilson

Mrs. Wilson is Director of the Department of Human Resources Management for the Commonwealth of Virginia. She was formerly an Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Signet Banking Corporation.
