VCDC’s Project Development staff provides extensive training and technical assistance to project sponsors throughout the development process. Asset management staff works with project sponsors during the pre-lease-up and lease-up phases to ensure compliance with projected schedules and LIHTC Program requirements. Hands-on technical assistance includes related topics such as community needs assessment, project conceptualization and early project development, organizational development, market analysis, assembling a development team, securing financing, site control, preparing bid documents and negotiating contracts, construction monitoring, lease-up, compliance, and property management.
