Technical Assistance Program

Our goal is to help our partners secure the resources they need to facilitate real change for their communities, and to help them establish a stable foundation from which to grow. Through the Technical Assistance (TA) Program, we offer the opportunity to apply for access to a range of technical support, consultant services, educational resources, and professional development opportunities to accommodate the unique and individual needs of our partners and potential partners and empower them to strengthen their organizations, enhance their understanding of development processes, and build capacity to play a leading role in developing sustainable, vibrant communities.

Organizations eligible for TA program funds include borrowers, partners, and potential partners engaged in affordable housing and community development projects serving low-income people in VA and WV. Through TA, we aim to ensure that these partners have the capacity to build strong, successful projects and have enduring benefit to the community.

Potential Technical Assistance services include but are not limited to:

Advisory services to support project underwriting, including:

  • Market analysis

  • Feasibility study

  • Appraisals

  • Technology and/or data training to support operations

  • Grant writing assistance

Educational and networking opportunities, including:

  • Online trainings

  • Individual coaching

  • Conferences

  • Workshops

Organizations interested in the program may apply for anywhere between $3,000 and $15,000 in TA funds.

For more information about the TA Program and guidance on applying, contact Elijah Kaiss at ekaiss@vacdc.org and Laura Dupuy at ldupuy@vacdc.org.
